Capital Honda is honored to be the first Michigan dealership affiliated with the Gurley-Leep Automotive Family headquartered in Mishawaka, IN.

The Gurley-Leep Automotive Family was founded in 1973 by partners and childhood friends Mike Leep and Van Gurley.  Since then, Van Gurley has retired, but Mike Leep and his son Mike Leep Jr have grown Gurley-Leep into the number one retailer of new and used vehicles in Indiana and look forward to their continued growth and expansion in Michigan.

The Gurley-Leep Automotive Family acquired Capital Honda in September of 2002.  In June of 2004 we opened our new 26,000 square foot state of the art facility situated on 6 1/2 acres located on Jolly Rd in Okemos, Michigan.

Shortly after building the new facility, Mike Leep appointed Tony Gomez as his General Manager and Partner in Lansing.  Since his appointment Tony and his team have worked to build and install an operating philosophy that encourages lifetime employee and customer satisfaction.  The commitment of our staff to delivering you a world class ownership experience was acknowledged by American Honda Motors in February of 2008 by bestowing upon Capital Honda the most prestigious award available from Honda, the 2007 Honda President's Award.
